The decision targets reward-based posting systems that flooded feeds with non-organic activity. Product manager Nikita Bier confirmed the ban, stating it WOULD improve user experience as bots lose monetization incentives.

The policy shift coincides with X's enhanced crypto visibility features, including refined cashtag labeling. This dual approach addresses recent complaints from crypto creators about declining reach, while purging low-quality content.
